We are starting and ending with the story of Jesus. Those who participate write a one sentence summary of what they learned about God and, if in the Old Testament, how the reading points to Jesus. Just as those who looked to the bronze snake lived, those who look to Jesus will be saved from the poison of sin and live.
The passage reminds me of how long the Israelites had to struggle spiritually as a result of their actions.
