The purpose of this blog is for its members to read through the entire Bible. We are all using the Daily Bible: in Chronological Order by F. Lagard Smith. We are starting and ending with the story of Jesus. Those who participate write a one sentence summary of what they learned about God and, if in the Old Testament, how the reading points to Jesus. Happy reading everyone!

God tested Abraham and he passed because He believed and trusted in God who provides. What faith!
Sometimes, God asks us to do things that seem plum crazy, but end up being a blessing. We must trust Him and have faith like Abraham. Holding onto the truth that "in all things God works for the good of those who love Him."
Through this reading, God reminded me that He sacrificed His own son just like Abraham had been asked to sacrifice his son. Sometimes, it is difficult for me to remember the gravity of God's sacrifice, but the reality is that He gave his son who was very precious to Him.
With great difficulty, Abraham obeyed God's command to him. He trusted and put his faith in God
