We are starting and ending with the story of Jesus. Those who participate write a one sentence summary of what they learned about God and, if in the Old Testament, how the reading points to Jesus. Even though Abraham lied again, God still called him a prophet. I found this so powerful; God had chose-he created- us to be included in His epic mission, and that doesn't change even if we show doubt or fear as Abraham had in that situation.
God is merciful. Lord, help me to receive your mercy with a repentant heart and not with a careless attitude.
