God does not show favoritism. He does not love us purely for our ability to uphold the law, but out of His wonderful grace and mercy that he puts out on us. It is by trusting in Jesus, and having faith rooted in his love that we are able to do God's work.
Whenever Peter spoke or healed someone, he did it for the glory of God, instead of pretending that it was out of his own abilities.
