The purpose of this blog is for its members to read through the entire Bible. We are all using the Daily Bible: in Chronological Order by F. Lagard Smith. We are starting and ending with the story of Jesus. Those who participate write a one sentence summary of what they learned about God and, if in the Old Testament, how the reading points to Jesus. Happy reading everyone!

Jesus, the Word, became flesh and made his dwelling among us to become like us and experience our joy, pain and suffering. There is no greater love than this.
I am reminded that there was no way for us to be saved from sin until God himself came down to earth.

ReplyDeleteJesus was in the beginning before the world was created. Christmas is not his birthday but an incarnational day on earth.
ReplyDeleteJesus's coming was planned way before we were created. He wanted us to have a deeper relationship with him before we even came into existence.
